Reservations in India
Reaervation s In India-
According to the Indian constitution "The Right to Equality" is considered to be the fundamental right of the citizen of the country, symbolising the equality on the ground basis of the class, caste, creed, religion and gender before the law.
But is it so?????
If there is, then why reservations are being provided in the top government institutions of the country??
Well, if we date back to 24 September 1936 the Poona pact that was signed by Babasaheb Ambedkar and Pandit Madam Mohan Malviya and other great leaders and that's where the roots of reservation started. When the constitution was formulated there was a special provision for SC,ST and OBC to be given special seats in government institutions and it was proposed for a tenure of 10 years with flexibility for extending the tenure for next 10 years if necessary and now the time has come where the law is now being 'enforced' for 70 years suggesting that the condition of these classes haven't improved yet........and these 'Depressed Classes' still need reservation for their upliftment and their betterment......
Now this has provoked other classes most prominently the 'Jats' who nowadays are creating a lot of trouble in order to get reservations adding weight to those who really deserve that seat more than these reserved candidates do.........
Again a question which arises is that how much betterment do our ministers want?????
Hasn't Kalpit Veeral (SC) topped the JEE Mains -2017 and other thousands or so...
Now if we talk about reservations then 50% of the seats for the 30% population of the country what an absolute calculation done by the governments......
For these classes show themselves as vulnerable and they still need the reservation. They do not mix with the society and without looking the broad minded society they still tag themselves under the label of being a "Depressed Class" and still finding the faults in the society and enjoying the reservations over stars and moon.....
Coming to the government then the political parties are just having their vote bank in form of these SC and ST voters and clubbing their money in heaps and pillars.....
If the government is really so interested to provide reservations to those who really need it since these 'Backward Classes' were decided according to their financial conditions then why isn't it so in present time???
The time has changed and so do the conditions and keeping pace with time can help as we all know wolves rule and sheep follow, instead of following the old road the time has come to make a new better road for the country.
It is very pitiful to hear the cases where a General quota person working hard sits in the same institution with an SC or ST who did half the hardwork the other did......
And that's the reason that none of the IIT are included among the top 100 engineering institutes of the world since the 50% of the students are getting the half of the expected marks the overall score decreases thus leading to the downfall of the average grades of the institution........
In the end I would suggest that in order to increase the productivity of the institutes the reservation must be stopped so that the right to equality really prevails in the nation.............
THANK YOU
