Reaervation s In India- According to the Indian constitution "The Right to Equality" is considered to be the fundamental right of the citizen of the country, symbolising the equality on the ground basis of the class,caste,creed,religion and gender before the law. But is it so????? If there is, then why reservations are being provided in the top government institutions of the country?? Well, if we date back to 24 September 1936 the Poona pact that was signed by Babasaheb Ambedkar and Pandit Madam Mohan Malviya and other great leaders and that's where the roots of reservation started. When the constitution was formulated there was a special provision for SC,ST and OBC to be given special seats in government institutions and it was proposed for a tenure of 10 years with flexibility for extending the tenure for next 10 years if necessary and now the time has come where the law is now being 'enforced' for 70 years suggesting that the condition of these classes...
